In Memoirs welcomes the summer with eminent new club banger.

With his new single ”Brother, Can We Say?” In Memoirs from Denmark proves that he does not only excel in making 80s and 90s pop hymnals. He can also deliver clubhits on an international level. This track proves that he is on par with the best of them.

This song makes the roof lift at the rave party in the abandoned warehouse and it makes you want to turn up the volume on the car stereo and roll down your window.

At the same time ”Brother, Can We Say?” shows new sides of the aesthetic pop connoisseur:

”I felt that I needed an uptempo song to break the flow of the songs on the album. My producer Mads Björn sent me an early version of the song and my comment was: It’s great! But I want it to be wilder.” tells Morten Fillipsen, who is the man behind In Memoirs.

The song was written in London and describes how the big city can swallow you whole and make you quite the cynic. The musical couple has also been inspired by a popular english duo. ”We hear the song as Pet Shop Boys on drugs meets Blade.”

It is dedicated to Morten’s brother, who has always been able to be at peace with the stillness surrounding him, far away from the pulsing noise of the city, which is something that Morten has always admired and respected.
